Can I customize my putter?
Yes. Every Z-Stroke putter is built to order, and many customization options are available directly on our website. Depending on the model, you can choose options such as:
- Alignment line configuration
- Finish/color
- Shaft length
Looking for something more unique? We may be able to accommodate special requests, including custom laser engraving, unique alignment markings, or other one-off modifications. If you have a specific idea in mind, contact us before placing your order and we’ll let you know what’s possible.
Please note that some custom modifications may require additional production time or incur an additional charge.
Can I change grips?
While we love the grip that comes with our putters, you can change the grip with minimal performance impact.
Are headcovers included?
Yes. Each putter has it’s own custom headcover.
Do these have a forward press?
No, these do not. We found the forward press adds unnecessary torque, and introduces the need to hold wrist angles without a specialized grip.
Will the brass oxidize (patina)?
Yes, over time our brass putters or brass inserts on our putters will oxidize, although fairly slowly. If you wish to remove existing patina, we recommend salt and lemon juice, then apply metal wax to protect the brass from further oxidation.
Can I change the lie angle?
No. Z-Stroke putters are engineered with a specific lie angle to maintain the intended zero torque performance. Bending the hosel or shaft to change the lie angle alters the relationship between the shaft axis and the putter head’s center of mass, which can introduce torque and change how the putter performs.
If you require a different lie angle, please contact us. In some cases, we may be able to manufacture a custom one-off putter built to your specifications. Because these are made specifically for you, they may require additional engineering and manufacturing time and will incur an additional charge.
